The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior or Principal Flood Modeller/Hydrologist to join our Hydrological Sciences team at Stantec UK. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues and independently to deliver high-quality projects and services to our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing projects, including flood risk assessments and flood modelling
  • Collaborating with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Working with hydraulic modelling software, including Flood Modeller Pro, ISIS - Tuflow, and WinDes
  • Providing expert advice on hydrological assessments and flow estimation
  • Designing and implementing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and surface/foul water drainage systems

We are looking for someone with a strong background in hydraulic modelling, hydrological assessments, and flow estimation. You should have a degree in Environmental Science and be chartered with a relevant professional institution. If you are currently working towards chartership, we will consider and support your application.
