Stantec is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hydrologist Modeller to join our Hydrological Sciences team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical work, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, and managing projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in hydraulic modelling software, hydrological assessments, and flow estimation. A degree in Environmental Science and a relevant master's degree are also essential. Chartered status with a relevant professional institution is preferred, but we will consider and support individuals currently working towards obtaining chartership.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, giving access to a wide range of exciting projects in the UK. Our team currently services clients from various sectors, including the UK water industry, transport, and energy infrastructure.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Modelling
  • Hydraulic Modelling (1D, 2D, and 1D-2D) of rivers
  • Surface water flood modelling (2D direct-rainfall)
  • Environmental Impact Assessments
  • Hydromorphological impact assessments
  • Water Framework Directive assessments
  • Sediment transport assessments/modelling
