Commercial Assistant to the Chief Officer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to provide exceptional support to the Chief Commercial Officer and the wider Commercial Team at Slaughter and May.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing a varied workload, and developing strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as gatekeeper for the Chief Commercial Officer, providing day-to-day support for the Director of Pricing and Analytics and the Head of Marketing.
  • Use initiative to manage email accounts, develop and maintain systems to promote efficiency, and build strong relationships with partners EAs and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the CCO and team priorities, and get to know and understand the wider Commercial team and individual's needs.
  • Organise internal and external meetings, arrange travel, and maintain up-to-date knowledge and training in relation to the current travel booking policies and procedures.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, progress action points, and identify and facilitate knowledge sharing within the peer group and wider team.

Candidate Profile

Candidates for this position must have:

  • Excellent administrative skills, to include advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to confidently manage and prioritise a busy and varied workflow, and to always remain calm under pressure and proactive and flexible in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain professional demeanour in all situations, demonstrate the ability to work independently and with limited guidance, and exercise judgment.
  • Ability to anticipate and identify potential problems and provide innovative solutions.
