Job Description: Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Academics Ltd.

In this role, you will provide emotional support and guidance to children who have experienced trauma, neglect, or other adverse childhood experiences.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

A salary of approximately £25,000 - £30,000 per annum is available for this position, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide emotional support and guidance to children who have experienced trauma, neglect, or other adverse childhood experiences.
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized plans for students.
* Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to student support.
* Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure consistent support for students.

Essential Skills:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
* Basic knowledge of child development principles and practices.
