Role Overview

This is a locum opportunity for an experienced Community Psychiatric Nurse (NMC Registered) or Social Worker (SWE Registered) to join a dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in the Eastbourne area.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in CAMHS or similar settings, with excellent communication, assessment, and care coordination skills. A valid UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role.

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of £26 (umbrella) and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people experiencing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with mental health needs, providing support and coordinating care according to the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
  • Undertake assessments, risk management, and develop care plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and collaborate with families/carers to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • Professional Registration: Valid NMC (for CPN) or SWE (for Social Worker) registration.
  • Experience: Proven experience working within CAMHS or similar settings.
  • Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication, assessment, and care coordination skills.
