Job Title: Mental Health Support Specialist


Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, paid in 12 equal monthly instalments. This salary is competitive and reflects the level of expertise required for this role.


Job Description:


We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team as a Mental Health Support Specialist. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with children who have experienced trauma or neglect, and those with mental health issues stemming from their SEN. You will provide emotional and social support to these children, helping them to develop their well-being and reach their full potential.


Key Responsibilities:



  • To support children with moderate learning difficulties and additional mental health needs.
  • To work collaboratively with therapists to develop forward planning strategies that cater to each child's unique needs.
  • To understand and manage challenging behaviour, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all.
  • To promote social, emotional, and mental well-being among children with SEN.

Requirements:


While a psychology degree is desirable, it is not necessary for this role. What matters most is your passion for supporting vulnerable children and your ability to work effectively as part of a team.
