We are seeking a highly skilled Radiotherapy Technology Manager to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our Radiotherapy Technology Services, you will play a vital role in providing technical support and managing radiotherapy equipment.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a medical engineering environment, backed up with formal clinical technology training, and have professional registration as a clinical technologist, healthcare scientist or healthcare science practitioner.

You will be responsible for leading and participating in multidisciplinary project teams to develop ideas and provide technical advice in the creation and implementation of novel designs to improve the safety and efficacy of patient treatment.

In addition, you will engage in comprehensive radiotherapy technology support, including installation, fault diagnosis, repair, maintenance, calibration, modifications, and upgrades.

You will also provide direct technical support and advice to radiotherapy managers, key trainers, and users of the technology.

About the Role
  • Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

As a Radiotherapy Technology Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of medical devices and equipment, including linear accelerators, CT scanners, and x-ray sets.

You will also be involved in conducting risk analysis and management for medical device design and development.

In this role, you will convey complex technical information to radiotherapy staff and external manufacturers, contractors, and personnel.

Key responsibilities include supervising, mentoring, teaching, and training staff within their area of expertise.

You will also produce and update procedures in their area of expertise to maintain the RTS ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
