About the Role

Lane Clark & Peacock LLP is seeking a highly skilled Energy Data Analyst to join our team in the Power Trading department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex data to inform business decisions and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends and events, using our market-leading short-term power markets tool, Enact, to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Market Research and Insights: Conduct research on the rapidly evolving GB power market sector, producing meaningful and consolidated metrics and content for the market.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Enact, Modelling, and Energy Economics and Finance teams to share insights and drive business growth.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry contacts, providing expert advice and guidance on short-term energy markets.
  • Thought Leadership: Identify trends and share insights on short-term energy markets, positioning Lane Clark & Peacock LLP as a thought leader in the industry.
Requirements
  • Relevant Qualifications: BSc, MSc, or PhD in a relevant field, such as energy economics, finance, or data science.
  • Coding Skills: Intermediate coding knowledge in C#, Python, or another equivalent language.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to turn real-world challenges into impactful tools.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and industry contacts.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to think commercially about the needs of clients and drive business growth.
