Role: Data Science Analyst - Energy Markets
As a Data Science Analyst at CCI, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making within our European Power, Natural Gas, and Petroleum trading operations. You will collaborate closely with desk heads, traders, and analysts to understand their data needs and develop innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of time series data to forecast market trends and price movements within the energy sector.
- Develop and implement machine learning models to enhance trading strategies and risk management.
- Design and deliver end-to-end data science solutions that address specific business challenges faced by our trading desks.
- Communicate complex technical findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience applying data science techniques within the energy trading industry.
- Proven expertise in time series forecasting and machine learning algorithms, particularly within energy markets.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
