Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment

At Guildford Borough Council, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Facilities Support Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our council properties.

This role involves working closely with our facilities supervisor to ensure that all communal areas are clean and well-maintained. Your duties will include cleaning toilets, kitchens, dining rooms, bathrooms, bin stores, utility rooms, boiler rooms, and other designated areas. You will also be responsible for emptying internal rubbish bins daily and complying with our recycling policy.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you may be required to clean other buildings as directed by the facilities supervisor. To support this, you will need to check the external bin area daily, identify, and address any health and safety issues that may arise. It is essential that you maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization at all times.

We offer a competitive salary of £23,695 - £26,633 per annum, depending on experience. As a full-time employee, you will enjoy 16 hours of work per week, providing a healthy work-life balance. Our office is located at The Hive, Park Barn Drive, Guildford GU2 8EN, with excellent transport links to London and surrounding areas.
