We are currently seeking a highly skilled Specialist Eating Disorder Consultant to join our private inpatient service based in Southwest London. This is a part-time role.

Position Details

Hours: Part time – 22 hours per week

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MBBS or Equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsych qualifications
  • Experience of working in inpatient settings with individuals who present complex mental health issues
  • Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice
  • A commitment to continued professional development

The successful consultant will be responsible for:

  • Leading ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and care reviews
  • Overseeing the clinical management of complex cases, particularly those involving risk or challenging behaviour
  • Supporting patients and their families through treatment decisions, relapse prevention, and recovery pathways
  • Providing mentorship, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Driving quality improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and national standards
Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position is £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
