Job Title: Eating Disorder Specialist Doctor

We are seeking an experienced Eating Disorder Specialist Doctor to join our team at the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to individuals with eating disorders.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated and compassionate doctor to develop their skills and expertise in the assessment and management of eating disorders. You will be responsible for providing psychiatric and medical assessments, prescribing and monitoring medication, and supporting the delivery of services according to NICE guidelines and policies.

  • To provide psychiatric and medical assessments of adults referred to the eating disorder service, including prescribing and monitoring medication and supporting delivery of services according to NICE guidelines policies.
  • The post-holder will join other members of the team to provide psychiatric input including assessment and treatment of comorbid mental health disorders.
  • To provide medical and psychiatric review of outpatients.
  • To contribute to the collection of Clinical Outcome data.
  • Consultation to other members of the multidisciplinary team, including with respect to the management of risk.
  • Preparing assessment reports and other clinical documentation and correspondence as necessary, in accordance with trust policy.
  • Liaison input to medical wards as needed and sustain good working relationships and effective MEED pathways with acute hospitals in our catchment area.
  • To provide cross cover with medical colleagues within the ED service.
About You:

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated doctor who has a minimum of 2 years' experience in psychiatry at SHO/CT level. You should possess excellent communication and empathic skills, demonstrable leadership skills, experience of team working, sound organisational skills, and the ability to work on your own initiative. An additional postgraduate qualification relevant to your specialty would be desirable.

Salary Information:

The salary for this position is £75,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
