Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team at a leading industrial, aerospace, and defence manufacturing company. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and sustaining good working relationships with existing and new clients, and establishing and understanding client requirements and specifications through technical/commercial meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Build and sustain good working relationships with existing and new clients
  • Establish and understand client requirements and specifications through technical/commercial meetings
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and suppliers to provide customers with the most appropriate technical and commercial solutions
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals and present these to clients
  • Negotiate technical and commercial contracts
  • Prepare monthly sales reports and forecasts

Requirements:

  • Qualified electronics or electro-mechanical engineer
  • Background in technical business development, preferably in the aerospace and defence market (training will be provided)
  • Comfortable meeting new people and developing relationships with technical and commercial contacts
  • Presentable and professional demeanour
  • Enjoy travelling and meeting customers
