Culinary Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Team Lead to join our team at Castle Hill Primary School. As a key member of our Catering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of catering staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of catering staff to prepare and cook meals for students, ensuring compliance with food safety and health and safety guidelines.
- Develop and implement menu plans, taking into account nutritional standards and dietary requirements.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and storage of food and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Supervise and train catering staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Collaborate with the school and Totally Local Company to ensure the delivery of catering services meets the required standards.
- NVQ Level 2 in professional cookery or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leading a team and delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Knowledge of food safety and health and safety guidelines, with the ability to implement and maintain these standards.
