Job Description

At Oakford Technology, we are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. As a Secondary School Network Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and managing the school's IT infrastructure.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and managing escalation to central teams as needed.

You will work closely with other teams within Oakford Technology, collaborating to provide strong technical solutions to problems quickly.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing first and second-line technical support to the school's staff and students
  • Managing technical issues flagged by monitoring software
  • Performing system administration tasks on-site, such as installing new hardware
  • Maintaining a positive working relationship with customers and colleagues
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience of working in an MSP or IT environment (or similar)
  • Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration/support
  • Troubleshooting and supporting modern desktop environments (Windows 10/11/macOS)
  • Understanding of computer and server components, networks, and infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills and a polite, confident, and effective manner
