Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Roads Planning Team as a Planning Administrator. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the team's administrative and technical aspects, providing key support in both areas.

The post is extensively frontline in nature, requiring excellent communication skills to interact with customers. Responsibilities include administering the service mailbox to ensure customer enquiries are dealt with professionally and supporting the development of procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Roads Planning Service
  • Manage the service mailbox to respond to customer enquiries
  • Support the development and implementation of procedures to improve operational efficiency
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline (or be currently working towards this) or comparable training and professional development
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience. Scottish Borders Council offers a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
