Kennedys Finance team supports the firm globally, delivering timely and accurate financial information, reporting solutions, and operational support to maintain a high standard of service for internal and external clients.

Our Finance Structure

The UK Finance team is based in Chelmsford and London, with a presence in eight global offices. Our team includes Financial Control, Financial Planning and Reporting, Management Accountants, Working Capital Management, Legal Cashiers, and Master Data Management professionals.

Job Description

This role will lead and develop a team that provides proactive transactional support for billing and collections, ensuring an efficient and effective billing solution and maximizing collections to actively reduce lockup.

  • Lead and/or support the team with regular lockup reviews to pursue billing opportunities and accelerate collections.
  • Develop strong relationships at Team Leader/Partner level to drive collaboration and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with other Assistant Managers to ensure all queries and issues are resolved promptly.

  • Ensuring a high standard of service to internal clients to enhance the professional reputation of the department.
  • Mentoring and developing team members to problem-solve and aspire to be subject matter experts and future leaders within the team.
Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional with:

  • Demonstrable experience of leading transactional teams covering billing and/or collections, with a strong track record in goal setting, performance management, recruiting, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills to streamline data reporting into meaningful information.
  • A commercial mindset, with experience in the legal or insurance sectors being beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a 'can-do' attitude.
Estimated Salary Range

£55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
