Financial Operations Manager

Steer Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team. This hybrid role offers the perfect balance of 4 days in the office and 1 day remote, providing flexibility while managing critical financial processes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4 employees, ensuring efficient workflows and team development.
  • Daily management of bank payments, including processing and posting receipts and payments.
  • Oversee payment run preparation and track debit card purchases for accurate financial records.
  • Manage the finance inbox and maintain smooth operation by overseeing system parameters.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances to ensure accuracy across Steer Automotive's locations.
  • Ensure all banks are posted and matched in the system for timely reporting.
  • Submit accurate bank reconciliations and manage intercompany recharges and payments.
  • Perform thorough VAT checks and prepare supplier accruals for month-end reports.

Requirements:

  • Must hold AAT Level 4 qualification.
  • Proven experience in financial operations and team leadership, ideally within the automotive or accident repair industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
