Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the ACCEND framework and promoting continuous learning and development within the cancer care workforce.

Key duties will include developing a supportive learning environment, creating resources to support line managers, and developing ACCEND champions/mentors.

The role will also focus on attracting and retaining staff by offering structured professional development and increasing awareness of career pathways in cancer.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team working to improve patient care and outcomes through education and training.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have recent experience of working with pre and post-registration learners in healthcare professions and part of a work-based environment.

They will also have recent clinical experience in an acute healthcare setting and a good working knowledge of education as part of a complex healthcare organisation.

Additional requirements include familiarity with the ACCEND Framework and comprehensive understanding and experience of teaching and undertaking clinical audit.
