Job Overview:

At SheCanCode, we prioritize our community, both internally and externally. We are in search of a dedicated community engagement specialist to help us cultivate and sustain these vital relationships. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational, communication, and writing abilities, along with a talent for building positive connections with individuals and organizations.

This Community Engagement Specialist will serve as the primary representative for the company, engaging with internal audiences, our Corporate Ambassadors, and the public to communicate the company's vision and strategies for achieving its goals.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing community registrations, enhancing engagement, and ensuring the satisfaction and success of our Corporate Ambassadors.

Note: This is a full-time position that requires a balanced focus on community engagement and partner success management. We are looking for someone ambitious, ready for a new challenge, and eager to grow into a key leadership role within the community while ensuring the satisfaction of our Corporate Ambassadors.

Key Responsibilities:

Engagement, Outreach, and Partnerships:

  • Facilitate discussions and engagement initiatives within the community.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, community leaders, and partner organizations.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for community growth and engagement.
  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of retention programs.
  • Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to support community outreach initiatives and events.

Corporate Ambassador Relations:

  • Act as the main point of contact for Corporate Ambassadors, ensuring their satisfaction and engagement throughout their partnership.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain high satisfaction rates among Corporate Ambassadors, focusing on contract renewals.
  • Collect feedback from Corporate Ambassadors to continuously enhance their experience and the value they derive from SheCanCode.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure that Corporate Ambassadors are effectively onboarded and recognized within the community.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Passion for advocating for women in technology, diversity, and inclusivity in the tech sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and handle sensitive or controversial topics with tact and professionalism.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in public relations, communications, English, journalism, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with community platforms like Hivebrite is advantageous.
  • Experience in community management, partner success, or related fields is a plus, but not mandatory.
