We are seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Specialist to join our team in London. As a key member of our community team, you will play a vital role in driving our growth by inserting WaterBear into culture, tapping into key passion points, and meeting our community where they engage with each other.

About the Role:

As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing a robust offline community strategy that brings WaterBear's brand to life, boosts retention, and supports commercial success. You will build strong relationships with community-based organizations, scout and onboard new communities, and equip partners and internal teams with the tools they need to reinforce the WaterBear brand and presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive offline community strategy that aligns with WaterBear's mission and values.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, identifying opportunities for partnerships and collaborations.
  • Scout and onboard new communities, ensuring seamless on-and-offline partnerships and activations.
  • Equip partners and internal teams with the tools and resources needed to reinforce the WaterBear brand and presence.
  • Identify and build relationships with strategic WaterBear ambassadors, creating a portfolio of friends of the brand that help us engage with strategic communities of interest.
  • Map out key moments throughout the year for WaterBear to engage with communities authentically and impactfully, both online and offline.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in community engagement, event management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with community-based organizations and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of the climate and impact space, particularly in the UK.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
