Job Overview

The role of Community Engagement Specialist is pivotal within Informa PLC, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our community development and stakeholder relations. As part of a dynamic team, you will be instrumental in fostering connections with Limited Partners (LPs), Very Important Persons (VIPs), and other essential participants within our portfolio, overseeing a diverse array of events.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and confident, thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. This position is tailored for a self-driven individual who enjoys both independent work and collaborative efforts, eager to enhance community engagement and VIP experiences.

The Community Engagement Specialist is a dedicated, resourceful, and accountable professional who excels in a high-energy setting, managing various event portfolios. Reporting directly to the Head of Community Engagement, we seek an organized, outgoing individual with exceptional communication abilities and a strong team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in broadening the audience for the events you oversee (LPs/VIPs and key influencers) through research, relationship cultivation, and networking. Apply best practices in email design and adhere to our established 'Tone of Voice' guidelines to optimize engagement. Collaborate with the wider Community Engagement team, event producers, sales personnel, marketing, speakers, and sponsors to identify and invite key industry figures and VIPs to our events. Reach out to selected qualified individuals to confirm their attendance and secure their involvement in various networking and social formats. Ensure that VIP confirmations are accurately recorded and maintained in our systems. Achieve audience and facilitation targets as set by the Head of Community Engagement. Welcome and assist VIPs onsite at events, ensuring they receive exceptional care and participate in planned networking and social activities. Guarantee that VIPs enjoy a superior experience before, during, and after events. Cultivate strong relationships with VIPs to foster brand loyalty and commitment. Ensure the successful execution of exclusive functions such as VIP dinners, breakfast briefings, and one-on-one meetings. Gather feedback and propose enhancements for events at all stages. Contribute to the development of the online community through various digital channels. Engage closely with VIPs to understand their preferences, desired connections, and information needs. Maintain an updated year-on-year tracker and provide weekly updates to relevant team members. Assess the eligibility of incoming requests for VIP and other key stakeholder passes. Collaborate with event sponsors to identify key VIPs or stakeholders to expand the audience and leverage their networks.
