Job Summary

Protec Fire Detection PLC is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Design Engineer to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive Life Safety Systems for complex major projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project delivery teams to produce design deliverables in line with project programs.
  • Work closely with regional Project Managers to manage and deliver comprehensive Life Safety System designs.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant standards: BS5839, pt1, pt8, pt9, BS6266, BS7671 and BS7273.
  • Represent the company consistently and positively to customers.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurately completed, stored, and provided to appropriate personnel.
  • Implement company design procedures with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the post-order design process from sales handover to completion.

Requirements

  • Previous design experience in fire and security related systems.
  • Proven ability to professionally document, illustrate, and present detailed fire and security system designs.
  • Strong technical understanding of fire and security related systems.
