Job Summary

Protec Fire Detection PLC is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our post order Design Engineering team, you will work closely with project delivery teams to produce design deliverables in line with project programs. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and deliver comprehensive Life Safety System designs for complex major projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement fire alarm system designs that meet customer requirements and comply with relevant standards and regulations.
* Collaborate with regional Project Managers to ensure timely completion of design deliverables and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including design drawings, calculations, and reports.
* Implement Company design procedures and ensure full understanding of scope documents and system design compliance.
* Manage the post order design process from sales handover to completion, ensuring all documentation is produced and recorded in line with company standards.

Requirements

* Previous design experience and technical understanding of fire and security related systems.
* Proven ability to professionally document, illustrate, and present detailed fire and security system designs.
* In-depth knowledge of relevant standards, including BS5839, pt1, pt8, pt9, BS6266, BS7671, and BS7273.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the Company consistently and positively to customers.
