Job Title: Fire Alarm Design Engineer

Protec Fire Detection PLC is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Design Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Fire Alarm Design Engineer to work within our post-order Design Engineering team (Infrastructure Projects). As a Fire Alarm Design Engineer, you will work closely with project delivery teams to produce design deliverables in line with project programs. You will be responsible for managing and delivering comprehensive Life Safety System designs for complex major projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fire alarm system designs that meet customer requirements and comply with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure design deliverables are produced on time and to a high standard.
  • Manage the post-order design process from sales handover to completion, ensuring all documentation/drawings/calculations are produced/recorded and reported in line with company standards.
  • Represent the company consistently and positively to customers, ensuring effective communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and implement new design procedures and processes as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fire alarm system design and implementation.
  • Strong technical understanding of fire and security related systems.
  • Ability to professionally document, illustrate, and present detailed fire and security system designs.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
