Night Care Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Children's Residential Officer to join our team at Doncaster Council. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for looked-after children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of the Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, and senior residential care officers to provide a warm, caring, and enabling environment for children and young people.
- Conduct regular checks on children and young people during the night, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Participate in general housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and completing paperwork for children's files.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with children, young people, and colleagues, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Collaborate with other agencies, such as the Police and social care, to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements:
- QCF Level 3 in Residential Care or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Willingness to undertake additional training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
