Job Title: Transport Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transport Project Manager to join our Highways and Transport Service. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering transport plans and strategies, improving connectivity and promoting sustainable modes of travel.

The role will involve developing transport schemes and programmes of activity, progressing them into deliverable interventions. Additionally, the successful candidate will support the coordination of developer funding secured for transport improvements through the planning process and manage the delivery of non-major transport schemes.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of project management methodology and techniques, as well as experience working in a transport planning or service role. They should be motivated to further develop their project management skills and knowledge of highways and transport service delivery.

About You

You should have a strong background in project management, with some knowledge of transport, planning, and sustainability issues common to local government Highways Departments. You should also be able to work with minimal supervision, work off your own initiative, and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

The estimated salary for this position is around £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
