Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Highways and Transport Service as a Project Officer. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in translating our transport plans and strategies into reality, improving connectivity and encouraging travel by sustainable modes.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop transport schemes and programmes of activity included in our plans, and progress them into deliverable interventions.
* Support the coordination of developer funding secured for transport improvements through the planning process.
* Manage the delivery of non-major transport schemes, some of which would either be wholly, or in part, developer funded.
About You
* You should have a good understanding of project management, and some knowledge of transport, planning, and sustainability issues common to a role in local government Highways Department.
* You should be motivated to develop your project management skills and knowledge of transport service delivery.
* The role holder should be able to work with minimal supervision, work off their own initiative, and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
