Job Summary

NHS Highland is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Clerical Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing internal and external mail, including recorded and special delivery items, and will be proficient in the use of a franking machine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and sort mail, including recorded and special delivery items
  • Operate a franking machine to process mail
  • Deal with returned mail and redirect it to the correct department
  • Assist with recording items for departments who are invoiced for mail franking
  • Arrange transportation of urgent specimens for collection and delivery to various laboratories across NHS Highland
  • Organize courier service for delivery of urgent items and large items
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
