About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Paediatrics team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional with expertise in paediatrics to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expert advice on complex cases within acute paediatrics, including cover for acute admissions, inpatients, ambulatory care, and outpatient clinics.
  • Participate in a 12 PA rota, including on-calls in Paediatrics at William Harvey Hospital, to ensure seamless service provision.
  • Develop skills in subspecialties and community paediatrics, including level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, to enhance the trust's services and improve patient outcomes.
About the Team

The Child Health Department at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust encompasses a broad range of paediatric services, with inpatient paediatric and neonatal services located at the William Harvey Hospital and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital. Our team provides ambulatory paediatric care at Dolphin Ward, Kent and Canterbury Hospital, and Carousel Ward, Buckland Hospital, Dover.
