About the Role

Chester Central Primary Care Network is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide technical and administrative support to clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Process repeat medication requests, including converting acute requests to repeat medicines and changing quantities of medicines.
  • Issue prescriptions in line with agreed clinical protocols and within your competency.
  • Support the clinical pharmacist as the PCN point of contact for all medicines-related matters.
  • Monitor practice adherence to prescribing policy and support the clinical pharmacists in improving the quality and effectiveness of prescribing through clinical audit and education.

Chester Central PCN consists of six GP practices based in the Chester area and has a patient list size of 41,000. We are a well-established team committed to providing outstanding care for our local population.

  • Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information effectively with people at all levels.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, including ability to use word processing skills, emails, and the internet to create simple plans and reports.
  • Good personal organisational skills and effective time management.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability, emotional resilience, and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to follow legal, ethical, professional, and organisational policies/procedures and codes of conduct.
