**Role Overview**

The Archdiocese of Southwark is seeking an experienced professional to join its Board of Trustees. As a Lay Trustee, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the Diocese, overseeing the management of assets, and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day administration.

As a key member of the Board, you will collaborate with fellow Trustees to drive the Diocese's ambitious vision for evangelisation and community development. Your expertise in areas such as law, property, or safeguarding will be invaluable in securing the future of the Diocese.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience within the education sector may be beneficial, but is not essential.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Attending quarterly Trustee meetings and contributing to strategic decision-making
  • Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and his team on key functions including education, fundraising, and property management
  • Providing guidance and support to the Diocese's leadership team

**Requirements:**

  • A practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to the values of the Church
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
