Job Description: Residential Support Worker

Estimated Salary: £11,970 per annum (30 hours/week)

As a Residential Support Worker at 5a King Street, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and enabling environment for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or older people. Your primary focus will be on assisting tenants in maintaining their independence and promoting their overall well-being.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver person-centred care, ensuring tenants receive tailored support and assistance in daily living tasks.
  2. Develop and implement individualised plans to promote tenant independence, social inclusion, and community engagement.
  3. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless delivery of services and maintain accurate records of tenant progress.
  4. Contribute to a culture of dignity, respect, and inclusivity, upholding the Christian ethos of PCI.
  5. Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Necessary Qualifications and Skills:

  • Essential qualifications: Knowledge of learning disability, physical disability, older people, and principles of care.
  • Desirable qualifications: QCF/NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
