Commercial Accountant Role

At IVC Evidensia, we are a leader in veterinary care, dedicated to enhancing the well-being of animals through our extensive network of clinics. Our Commercial Accountant will play a key role in supporting the management of supplier rebate contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accurate Rebate Calculation - Ensure monthly rebate amounts due from suppliers are calculated with high accuracy, in line with contract terms.
  2. Rebate Accruals Reporting - Support the accurate and timely production of monthly rebate accruals reports required by the IVCE Finance Team.
  3. Contract Improvements Reporting - Accurately calculate and report contract improvements.
  4. Rebate Collections Support - Support IVCE Finance Teams with the management of supplier balance sheet rebate accounts, including investigating and advising on discrepancies.
  5. Processes and Controls - Ensure the operation of standard processes and associated key controls and ongoing improvements - Support annual audit procedures.
  6. Commercial and Financial Reporting - Support the production of commercial and financial reports required by the business to aid commercial decision-making.
  7. Assist with ongoing rebate data and rebate calculation engine refinement - support ad hoc requests and reporting.
Requirements:
  1. A preference for a qualified accountant, but significant familiarity with accounting processes gained through experience would suffice as a substitute for formal qualification.
  2. Further knowledge and experience of Accounts Payable and Credit Control processes would be beneficial.
  3. Highly proficient in the use of the core Microsoft productivity suite (Excel in particular).
  4. Proficient in preparing material for presentation to stakeholders across both finance and non-finance functional areas.
