About the Role

At Turning Point, we provide support to individuals across the UK with mental health, substance misuse, and learning disabilities. As a Youth Support Worker, you will make a significant difference in the lives of young people by engaging with them to improve their daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will join our team at The Mill, a supported living service that supports 12 young people aged 16-21 who are at risk of homelessness, leaving care, or are looked after children. Your role will involve providing added security, peace of mind, and companionship to the young people during out-of-hours times.

Requirements

  • You will be required to be awake during your working shift and ensure the safety and welfare of each young person.
  • You will need to be able to use a computer to keep accurate records and report young people as missing, following our Missing Persons procedure.
  • You will be responsible for communicating effectively with out-of-hours services, including The On Call, and answering phone calls professionally.
  • You will provide a positive working role model for colleagues and young people.
