About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing dedicated support to students with unique learning requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with learning needs, on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, Special Education Coordinators, and other professionals to support students effectively.
  • Foster a positive and supportive relationship with students to promote their well-being and engagement.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic support system.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting student success.
  • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for supporting young people to learn and develop.
