Job Description

Role Overview

The 1:1 Learning Support Assistant will play a pivotal role in providing dedicated support to a specific student with unique learning requirements. This position requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support to a specific student with learning needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, Special Education Coordinators, and other professionals to support the student effectively.
  • Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the student to promote their well-being and engagement.
  • Monitor and track the student's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents as needed.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic support system.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting student success.
  • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
