Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Super Hiring. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the operations of our residential children's home, working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the safety and well-being of young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Registered Manager in managing the service's existing workforce and resources.
  • Support and supervise staff to enable them to meet the needs of the young people.
  • Undertake direct work with young people as appropriate.
  • Manage child protection concerns and complaints.
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
  • Ensure that resources are allocated appropriately, and financial records are accurately maintained.
Requirements
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • NVQ 3 / Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Residential Experience.
  • Team Building and Supervision Skills.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Understanding the needs of young people who have experienced trauma, including managing challenging behaviors.
  • Good organizational skills.
