Clinical Lead for Anticoagulation and Phlebotomy Services

The Anticoagulant and Phlebotomy Service Manager will provide strategic leadership and direction to the anticoagulation and phlebotomy teams across the Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, ensuring high-quality patient care and optimal service delivery.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency.
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the anticoagulation and phlebotomy teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols that promote safe and effective patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives, including quality improvement projects and research studies.
- Provide education and training to staff on anticoagulation and phlebotomy best practices, ensuring that staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals, to ensure that patient needs are met and that services are responsive to community needs.
- Manage and oversee the financial and operational aspects of the anticoagulation and phlebotomy services, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Registered Adult Nurse (NMC) with a degree in nursing or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as anticoagulation or phlebotomy.
- Experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in anticoagulation and phlebotomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
