Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a committed and effective Clinical Support Assistant to join our team, primarily focusing on the management of laboratory results. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in assisting both our clinical and administrative teams, ensuring the efficient operation of our practice.
You will collaborate with our existing Clinical Support Assistants as part of the multidisciplinary team, providing care within your professional scope to our patient population.
The successful applicant must be willing to pursue training for the Clinical Support Assistant Certificate qualification.

Job Duties
Responsibilities include:
- Ordering necessary diagnostic tests
- Coordinating patient follow-ups
- Providing phlebotomy services as required
- Conducting routine diagnostic tasks such as ECGs, blood pressure assessments, and urinalysis
- Utilizing patient interactions to promote health education, including guidance on obtaining laboratory results
- Supporting patients in making lifestyle changes
- Ensuring follow-up for patients who miss appointments
You will be expected to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding patient care and treatment at all times.
Additionally, you will be responsible for accurately recording and documenting all patient interactions.

Essential
- Experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience interacting with the public
Desirable
- Experience in a primary care setting
Clinical Knowledge
Essential
- Proficiency in ECGs
- Conducting new patient assessments, including height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse
- Ability to document clinical notes accurately
Qualifications
Desirable
- Healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) or working towards an equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification
- Clinical Support Assistant Certificate qualification or in progress
