Emergency Department Nurse/Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Emergency Department Nurse/Paramedic to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies.
Main Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients with acute and critical illnesses, injuries, and conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Registered Nurse (current NMC registration) or Registered Paramedic (current HCPC registration).
- Experience working in acute care settings, preferably in Emergency Departments or Critical Care Units.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Knowledge of adult health needs, including critical care and emergency medicine.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on patient-centered care.
