Lead Pharmacist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated pharmacist to join our team as the Lead Pharmacist for the Emergency Department at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical pharmacist to develop their practice and skills in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and management of clinical pharmacy services in the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective medication management.
- Work in partnership with the Lead Pharmacist - Emergency Department at Worthing Hospital to ensure equity of service across the trust.
- Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services in partnership with the Clinical Pharmacy Leads, in accordance with national priorities and the trust's clinical strategy.
- Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to the Emergency Department, including medicines optimisation and non-medical prescribing.
We are looking for a pharmacist with:
- A degree in Pharmacy from a UK School of Pharmacy (or equivalent)
- A further postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy at diploma level (or equivalent)
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Previous experience as a pharmacist in acute or emergency medicine
- Significant experience in clinical hospital pharmacy
- Non-medical prescribing qualification (desirable)
