Emergency Department Nurse/Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Department Nurse/Paramedic to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals presenting with a range of acute and emergency conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients with acute and emergency conditions, including those with critical and life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines for emergency care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of education and training programs for staff and students.
- Registered Nurse (current NMC registration) or Registered Paramedic (current HCPC registration).
- Knowledge of Band 5 role and understanding of accountability and responsibilities.
- Experience of working in acute care settings, with a focus on emergency care.
- Demonstrated professional behavior in line with NMC/HCPC codes.
- Sound knowledge of the care of critically ill and injured adults.
