About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated pharmacist to join our team as the Lead Pharmacist for the Emergency Department at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to the Emergency Department, working in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services, including medicines optimization and non-medical prescribing.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure equity of service across the trust.
  • Contribute to the development of the clinical pharmacy service, in line with national priorities and the trust's clinical strategy.
Person Specification
  • Degree in Pharmacy from a UK School of Pharmacy (or equivalent).
  • Further postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy at diploma level (or equivalent).
  • Registered member of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Previous experience as a pharmacist in acute or emergency medicine.
  • Significant experience in clinical hospital pharmacy.
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification.
  • Evidence of teaching/training experience, evaluating complex information, and undertaking policy or service development.
