Key Responsibilities:

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing an ambitious strategy to generate income from a range of commercial offerings. This will involve working closely with senior staff, governors, parents, and external charities and businesses to identify opportunities and drive growth.

Key Objectives:

  • To develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with the School's overall purpose and vision.
  • To identify and pursue new income-generating opportunities, including partnerships, sponsorships, and commercial ventures.
  • To work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that the commercial strategy is aligned with the School's overall goals and objectives.
  • To manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior staff, governors, parents, and external charities and businesses.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing an ambitious commercial strategy, operating at a senior level within an organisation and with experience of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. We recognise that this experience may be from sectors other than the education sector and would be delighted to receive applications from individuals which demonstrate the transferable nature of their skills and experiences to the education sector in general, and to King Edward's School specifically.

Working Arrangements:

This is a permanent full-time role, working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, all year round. We would consider part-time applicants wishing to work 0.8 FTE or above. This position would be further enhanced by the School's generous staff benefits package which includes school fee remission.
