Our client is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to cover the West Midlands/Southwest area. As a Business Development Manager, you will secure customers in ecommerce, retail, automotive, and pharma markets. You will have a small portfolio of customers to look after, visiting them regularly to understand their needs and requirements. Your role will involve dealing with new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, services prospection, negotiation, and commercial follow-up of UK customers. You will also play an active part in the development of the sales budget, monitoring revenue and margins, promoting the company image, and improving company initiatives. In the first year, you will be required to hit a new business target of £250,000+. You must have a great understanding of the UK market, particularly in the Midlands/Southwest UK. You must be happy developing new business opportunities and building on your successes. A sense of business relationships and customer service is essential. You must be able to build new relationships, develop lapsed accounts, and nurture all accounts given and gained. You will be rewarded with a salary reflecting experience, a Hybrid car, an excellent commission structure, 25 days holiday plus bank, Life Insurance 3x salary, Westfield Health Care, 4% pension, laptop, and phone. There is also a strong career path within the business. For this role, ideally you will have at least 1-4 years' worth of experience in packaging disciplines including protective, plastic, cartons, postal, bags, tubing, tapes, stretch wrap, labelling, void fill, air cushioning, and more.
