About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our SEND funding and placement efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with schools and multi-academy trusts to create new SEND placements, streamline funding processes, and improve the overall financial governance of SEND provisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective SEND funding processes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
- Collaborate with schools and multi-academy trusts to create new SEND placements, ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities and regulatory standards.
- Negotiate and manage funding agreements and delivery timelines to meet the needs of schools and students.
- Identify and address weaknesses in financial management systems to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of SEND provisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, parents, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in leading SEND funding changes and financial system improvements.
- Strong knowledge of SEND statutory responsibilities and school place planning.
- Expertise in negotiating and delivering SEND school places with schools/MATs.
- Senior leadership experience in a local authority or similar setting.
- Skilled in managing complex educational capital programmes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong relationship-building abilities across diverse stakeholders.
