Disability Specialist Lead

Join Ackerman Pierce Ltd in making a real impact in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision. As a SEND Funding and Specialist Places Client Lead, you will work with schools and multi-academy trusts to create new SEND placements, streamline funding processes, and improve the overall financial governance of SEND provisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and improve SEND funding processes to ensure efficient and effective allocation of resources.
- Develop new SEND places in collaboration with schools and multi-academy trusts, ensuring high-quality education standards are met.
- Negotiate and manage funding agreements and delivery timelines to meet the needs of schools and students.
- Identify and address weaknesses in financial management systems to improve the overall financial governance of SEND provisions.
- Ensure SEND placements meet quality and regulatory standards, providing a safe and supportive learning environment for students.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, parents, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Lead projects to deliver non-capital aspects of school place planning, driving innovation and improvement in SEND provision.
- Proven experience in leading SEND funding changes and financial system improvements, with a strong understanding of SEND statutory responsibilities and school place planning.
- Expertise in negotiating and delivering SEND school places with schools and multi-academy trusts, with a focus on quality and regulatory standards.
- Senior leadership experience in a local authority or similar setting, with a track record of improving financial governance and management.
- Skilled in managing complex educational capital programmes, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
