SEND Funding and Specialist Places Client Lead

Join Ackerman Pierce Ltd in making a real impact in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision. As a SEND Funding and Specialist Places Client Lead, you will work with schools and multi-academy trusts to create new SEND placements, streamline funding processes, and improve the overall financial governance of SEND provisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and improve SEND funding processes to ensure efficient and effective allocation of resources.
  2. Develop new SEND places in collaboration with schools and multi-academy trusts, ensuring high-quality education standards are met.
  3. Negotiate and manage funding agreements and delivery timelines to meet the needs of schools and students.
  4. Identify and address weaknesses in financial management systems to improve the overall financial governance of SEND provisions.
  5. Ensure SEND placements meet quality and regulatory standards, providing a safe and supportive learning environment for students.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, parents, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  7. Lead projects to deliver non-capital aspects of school place planning, driving innovation and improvement in SEND provision.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in leading SEND funding changes and financial system improvements, with a strong understanding of SEND statutory responsibilities and school place planning.
  2. Expertise in negotiating and delivering SEND school places with schools and multi-academy trusts, with a focus on quality and regulatory standards.
  3. Senior leadership experience in a local authority or similar setting, with a track record of improving financial governance and management.
  4. Skilled in managing complex educational capital programmes, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
