Disability Specialist Lead

Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking a highly skilled SEND Funding and Placement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating new SEND placements, streamlining funding processes, and improving the overall financial governance of SEND provisions.
Key Responsibilities:- SEND Funding Process Improvement: Oversee and improve SEND funding processes to ensure efficient and effective management of resources.
- New SEND Places Development: Collaborate with schools and multi-academy trusts to develop new SEND places, ensuring high-quality education standards are met.
- Funding Agreements and Timelines: Negotiate and manage funding agreements and delivery timelines to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Financial Management Systems: Identify and address weaknesses in financial management systems to improve overall governance and compliance.
- SEND Placement Quality: Ensure SEND placements meet quality and regulatory standards, providing a safe and supportive learning environment for students.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, parents, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Project Leadership: Lead projects to deliver non-capital aspects of school place planning, driving innovation and improvement in SEND provision.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in leading SEND funding changes and financial system improvements.
- SEND Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SEND statutory responsibilities and school place planning.
- Negotiation and Delivery: Expertise in negotiating and delivering SEND school places with schools/MATs.
- Senior Leadership: Senior leadership experience in a local authority or similar setting.
- Complex Programme Management: Skilled in managing complex educational capital programmes.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Relationship-Building: Strong relationship-building abilities across diverse stakeholders.
